Will Hite Norman, a beloved figure in the Lincolnton community, passed away on May 1, 2024, at his residence in Lincolnton, Georgia. Born on February 15, 1936, in Lincolnton, GA to the union of Ed and Beulah Stadom Norman, he was a cherished son, husband, father, brother, and friend.
Will dedicated his career to environmental engineering at Curtis Baptist Church before retiring. He is remembered for his willingness to always offer a helping hand, Will's impact extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and united with New Tabernacle Baptist Church. He attended the church and public schools in Lincoln County, fostering a strong connection to his community throughout his life.
Described someone with a great sense of humor who lived carefreely and enjoyed socializing with loved ones, Will found joy in gardening, cooking, and listening to music. His vibrant personality and love for life left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Will Norman is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Clark Norman, and his son, Robert H. Norman. He is survived by his loving daughters Hakimah Kantomanto of Philly, PA, Hazel Clark, Christine Norman, both of Augusta, GA, and Cheryl (Larry D.) Sanders of Hephzibah, GA; brother Eddie (Dorine) Norman of Tampa, FL; daughter-in-law Veronica Norman, of Augusta, GA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
