Mildred Ann Cullars, a cherished member of the community, departed from this world on May 20, 2024, at Doctors Hospital. She was born on 7, 1964, in Lincolnton, GA, and was the oldest child of the late Mr. Robert Willie Cullars and Mrs. Maeosie Norman Cullars.
Mildred's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, faith, and service. Graduating with the Lincoln County Class of 1982, she embarked on a career as a seamstress and worked diligently at Oxford and FDB for many years. However, her true calling resided in her unwavering faith. Mildred accepted Christ as her personal savior and became a devoted member of Price Grove Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Parks. Within the church community, she lent her voice to the choir, supported the kitchen committee, and welcomed others as an usher when duty called.
Known for her zest for life, Mildred adored her family and held a deep love for God. Her days were filled with the sweet melodies of music, joyous dances, and soulful renditions of gospel songs. Her true joy stemmed from serving others selflessly.
Mildred Ann Cullars is survived by her loving mother, Maeosie Cullars of Washington, GA; sons Reginald Cullars of Greenwood, SC and Jacquez Cullars of Lincolnton, GA; a grandson, Royalty D’Prince Cullars; five sisters: Patricia Ann (Anthony) Harper of Elberton, GA, Barbara (Donald) Nicholson, Rev. Marilyn (Benjamin) Parks, Cathy (Haymus) Harris, all of Lincolnton, GA and Michelle (Sheldon) Crump of Lexington, NC; as well as aunts Mary Lee Brown of Lincolnton, GA, Geneva (Gus) Ryals of Baxley, GA, Mabel Smith of Rayle, GA, and Wynoia (Howard) Bradley of Tignall, GA; an uncle Charles Norman of Tampa, FL; along with a very special friend James Parks of the home.
In this time of mourning Mildred's passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of love, faithfulness to God, and commitment to service will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
As her Pastor and sister, I can honestly say whenever I called on her whether it was for church or outside of church Mildred always stepped up with a smile.
May she rest in eternal peace.
