Lisa Renee Jones

MS. LISA RENEE WHIMBUSH JONES, age 53, of 2025 Wrightsboro Road Apt. A3 Augusta, GA, (formerly of Lincolnton, GA) passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2023, at AU Medical Center in Augusta, GA.  

“The angels came and took me away, don’t cry for me, smile, one day I will unite again with you”

Lisa Renee Whimbush Jones was born on October 22, 1969 in Richmond County, GA,  the late James Ramsey and the late Betty Sue Whimbush. She entered in eternal rest on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Augusta University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and united with the White Rock Baptist Church.  Lisa attended school in Lincoln County, and she was a member of the class of 1988. Lisa worked in the dry cleaning industry the majority of her life.

Lisa enjoyed going to the movies, listening to music, spending time with friends and just spending time by herself.

Her mother, Betty Sue Whimbush and her father James Ramsey preceded her in death. 

She leaves to cherish many precious memories, four  sisters, Stephanie Whimbush, Theresa Whimbush, Sonya Jones all of Lincolnton, GA and Stacy Jones of Augusta, GA;  two brothers, Lee (Angela) Turner of Lincolnton, GA  and  Tyrone (Cynthia) Jones of Appling, GA; three aunts, Mary Lois Crew, Annie Jean Turner, and Ruby Jean Elam all of Lincolnton, GA; eight uncles, Hughes (Hattie) Ferguson, John Henry Ferguson, Michael (Julia) Elam, Ted Elam, George (Gloria) Wright, Sammie Lee Wright, Roy Whimbush all of Lincolnton, GA, Clint (Patricia) Wright of Stillmore, GA; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn her passing.
