LePolia Murray, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her family, joyfully graced the world from November 10, 1935, until her peaceful departure on October 13, 2024, at Anthony's Personal Care Home in Augusta, GA. Born in Lincolnton, GA, she was the youngest of seven children to Thomas and Mary Frances Zellars Murray.
LePolia was a woman of profound faith and unwavering devotion, who accepted Christ as her personal savior and became a proud member of Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church. Her deep love for family was not only evident in her nurturing spirit but also in the countless memories she created. She dedicated much of her time as a caretaker for her adored nieces and nephews, fostering their growth and ensuring that their childhoods were filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her extended family came to treasure her presence, with each happy gathering woven together by her kindness and laughter.
In addition to her familial duties, LePolia had passions that brought her immense joy. She delighted in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, tending to flowers, and creating lasting memories with her family. These hobbies showcased her love for nature and the connections that bind us all together.
LePolia’s legacy is one that will continue to touch the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a loving family that includes caring nieces and nephew: Melvin Wright, Mary Wright, Mary Johnson, Evelyn (Joe) Tate, Earlean Rouse, and Annette Murray, along with her special great nieces and nephews: Jermaine Ilegbodu, Mitchell Johnson, Ramon Foreman, Kathy Wright, and Dewayne Wright. Her great niece, Kimberly Jackson, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will forever carry echoes of her love and wisdom in their hearts.
LePolia Murray has left a remarkable impact on the lives she touched, and though she has departed this earthly realm, her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. As they gather to honor her memory, they will reflect on the invaluable lessons of love, faith, and togetherness that she so generously imparted throughout her life.
