John Davie "Johnny" Wynn

February 11, 1950 — October 24, 2022

Lincolnton

 

Mr. John David “Johnny”  “Candy Man” Wynn was born on February 11, 1950, in Lincolnton, GA to both the late John Aaron (Bessie Mae Fleming) Wynn. He entered eternal rest on October 24, 2022, at his residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Leatha Wynn and Frances Wynn.

 

He accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age. He attended the public school system in Lincoln County and a was a member of class of 1968.  

 

He was gainfully employed with Aycock Trucking over 35 years and then he worked with Barksdale Enterprise until his health decline. Johnny was a mentor to his son’s juicy classmates that were in the trucking industry. Johnny enjoyed softball, watching wrestling, dancing and spending time with his family. If Johnny could help someone he would graciously, do it with a loving heart. 

 

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a loving wife of 28 years, Janet Wynn; fifteen children, Herbert Letman, Fredrick Wynn, Tina (Frank) Brown, Dedric (Adrienne) White, David (Kimberlyn) Wynn, Derrick Wynn, Reco Bolton, Tanisha (Tony) Williams, Travis Dunbar, Agaris Crite, Jonathan Norman, Kiece (Kimberly) Crite, Jahonna Norman, Jamar Norman, and Jaeyln Jones; a bonus daughter, Dot Hunter; three god children, Elana Mansion, Leslie Mansion, and Roderick Hearst; five sisters, Shirley (Leo) Pitts, Rubye (Roy) Hunter, Gussie Norman, Holly Wade, and Hope Ferguson; three brothers, Jessie (Monique) Wynn, Darrell (Wanda) Wynn and Donnie Wynn;  an aunt, Annie Kate Turner; three in-laws, Joyce Norman, Judy Norman, and John (Teresa) Norman; 6 grandchildren raised in the home, Jonathan Norman, Jr., Janiah Norman, JaKelby, Norman, Jaxson Norman, Justice Norman, JaLaya Noman, and 44 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
