Billy Wright

Billy Wright, 67, of Lincolnton, GA, passed away on June 2, 2023, at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1955, in Washington, Georgia, to the late Leroy and Amelia Jones Wright. Billy attended, the Wilkes County School Systemin Washington, GA and worked at GA Pacific in McCormick, SC, for over 18 years before retiring.

Billy was a loving and caring person who had a passion for fishing and watching football, particularly the Greenbay Packers. He was also a generous and kind provider who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Missy Jones Wright; his children, Icy Wright and Jamaica Wright of Augusta, GA, Tanisha Norman and Geno Norman of Lincolnton, GA, and Demarcus Wright of Lexington, GA; his sisters, Louise (Robert) Booker of Washington, GA, and Sara Wright of Athens, GA; and his five grandchildren, Micha'el Thomas, Shia Mims, Tru Mims, Maleekia Wright, and Damir Wright.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy (Amelia Jones) Wright, his brothers, Sylvester “Bull” Wright and Sonny Wright, and his sisters, Mary Wright and Katherine Wright.
