At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and united with Newberry Missionary Baptist Church. Neal was educated in the Lincoln County church and public schools. Neal was very nurturing and lovable and it led her to a career of being a homemaker/caregiver. She was gainfully employed by the McWhorter and Reed families in Lincolnton.
In her free time, Alice enjoyed cooking which brought her immense joy, and she took pleasure in preparing meals for her loved ones. Alongside cooking, fishing and gardening allowed her to connect with nature and find tranquility.
